We recommend capturing newborn portraits in the first 4-12 days of birth. During this time, babies are very sleepy and flexible, so it is the best time to capture those classic newborn curled-up poses. If there is a specific pose you are looking for, please ask about it during your consultation. Swapna’s schedule fills up months in advance, so it is recommended to contact us during your first-second trimester to ensure availability.

All newborn sessions are tailored specifically to you and your baby, and include a consultation. We will discuss session colors, props and wardrobe. Additionally, if there are any family traditions, meaning or heirlooms you hold close, we will talk about ideas on how to incorporate them into your session. Our goal is to provide you with a truly meaningful & relaxed newborn experience. Once booked, we will send you a Newborn Guide with plenty of tips on how to prepare for your baby’s first photo session.

Our studio is stocked with props, wraps and bows of all colors. All clothing & wraps are washed after each session with detergents that are free of harsh chemicals.

We love keeping newborn portraits simple without overpowering them with props, patterns and colors. All newborn sessions are held in my elegant, modern home studio in Lutz, FL. There is a comfortable seating area, changing table and restroom for client use. Your baby’s comfort and safety is the most important to us.

You do not have to be in every image, but Swapna highly encourages parents to participate. These portraits of you with your baby become some of the most cherished images your family will treasure for years.
My calendar typically fills several months in advance, so it’s best to reserve your session before your baby arrives. I recommend contacting me around the end of your first trimester or the beginning of your second trimester. I take a very limited number of newborn sessions each month, and I will note your due date while tentatively scheduling your session approximately 10-12 days after your baby’s arrival to ensure a seamless, personalized experience.
Absolutely. Siblings are always welcome, and I guide families in relaxed, natural poses that capture authentic connection. Including siblings creates meaningful, timeless portraits that reflect your growing family.
Yes. I offer professional hair and makeup services for mom to feel confident and radiant. I also provide access to a curated client closet of gowns for moms and children and personally assist in coordinating family outfits, creating a cohesive, timeless look for your session.
